CRUISING OFFWIND – ULG
A ULG is an ideal sail choice when you are sailing a few degrees off the wind and want to keep your boat powered up. Recommended for use on an AT cable type furler, our ULG is made in a firm and stable 3oz woven polyester sail cloth as a cross cut design. Each panel (including graduated corner reinforcing patches) is bonded then seamed in 3 step zig-zag Sunstop stitching (with advanced UV protection).
The specification includes a robust polyester luff tape, Dyneema luff line, stainless steel external O-rings at the clew, tack and head (or webbing at the head and tack to fit into an AT cable furler), plus a sacrificial UV protective strip along the leech and foot in standard white Odyssey fabric. Complete with a high quality all purpose Cordura side launch bag and a sail trim guide written by our team of experts.
UPGRADES
Our Premium G-One specification allows you to design a unique panel using our spinnaker wizard, and you can upgrade the hardware to include an adjustable Dyneema luff line and stainless steel external O-rings at the clew, tack and head.
FABRIC UPGRADE
We offer other coloured cloths for the UV strips that are available at a small additional charge when specified with the order. For ULGs that are designed with a Bi/Tri radial panel construction, we offer upgrades to specific laminate materials that are suitable for cruising and performance sails on larger yachts.
