FURLING RADIAL CUT CRUISING MAINSAIL NO BATTENS
Our radial cut in-mast mainsails are manufactured in a sailcloth dedicated to radial construction. We bond and then seam each panel (including on graduated reinforcing patches) with 2 rows of 3 step zig-zag Sunstop thread that hosts advanced UV protection.
Fitted with webbings at the head and tack and a stainless steel pressed ring at the clew, a luff tape to suit your furler, telltales on the leech and an adjustable leech line that exits near the clew to a cleat. Camber lines are placed across the sail as well as a furl indication marker, plus a sacrificial UV protective panel on both sides of the clew area in white Odyssey fabric. Your sail comes complete with sail trim guide and a high-quality Cordura drawstring sail bag to store your sail in during the off season.
UPGRADES
Our Performance Cruise Premium in-mast furling mainsail is manufactured in a sailcloth dedicated to radial construction and offers a number of upgrades to your sail’s hardware and finishes. This specification of in mast mainsail includes a graduated and shaped reinforcing patch that extends along the leech and foot for increased load bearing capabilities when reefed, an integrated webbing on the block at the clew, luff tapes to suit your furler, telltales on the leech and Aramid reinforcing under the leech and foot tapes. In addition, this specification includes an adjustable leech line that exits near the clew to a metal cleat that is concealed within a secure pocket, camber lines across both sides of the sail, and a sacrificial UV protective panel on both sides of the clew area in white WeatherMax fabric.
HARDWARE UPGRADE
There are many upgrades that you can add to your in mast mainsail including a protective clew block cover that integrates with the UV protection of the sail, mitigating damage to the boom if the sail flogs. This upgrade is recommended to anyone with a yacht over approximately 12m LOA.
FABRIC UPGRADE
We offer fabric upgrades that include a range of superior warp-oriented branded polyester sailcloths, and laminate options for radial construction as well as hybrid wovens for cross cut construction such as Vectron.
Other colours of Odessey UV protective fabric are available for a small charge or you can upgrade your UV material to Weathermax which offers a significantly longer life and better chafe resistance than standard polyester.
