CROSS-CUT CRUISING MAINSAIL WITH 2+2 BATTENS

Kemp Sails Performance Cruise mainsails are manufactured in our PBXS High Tenacity Polyester sailcloth as a cross cut and loose foot design. We bond and then seam each panel (including on graduated reinforcing patches) with 2 rows of 3 step zig-zag Sunstop thread that hosts advanced UV protection.

This specification comes with a headboard, stainless steel pressed rings at the tack, clew and at all reefs, low friction plastic sliders and a bolt rope on the luff, telltales on the leech, tapered battens and an adjustable leech line that exits through an adjustable cleat at all the reefs and clew. Camber lines are placed across one side of the sail along with 2 rows of reefing points with strapping reinforcement and reef pennant eyes.

Complete with a sail trim guide and a high-quality Cordura drawstring bag to store your sail in during the off season.

HARDWARE UPGRADE

Our Performance Cruise Premium mainsails are manufactured in our PORTLAND PREMIUM High Tenacity Polyester sailcloth and offers a number of upgraded hardware options and finishes. The Performance Cruise Premium specification includes additional Teflon anti-chafe reinforcement at ‘high wear’ points around the edges, an adjustable leech line that exits (and is adjustable using a metal cleat) at all the reefs and clew, plus a foot line and a luff Cunningham eye. This specification also includes 2 reefing points that have strapping reinforcement and reef pennant eyes across the sail, including reef ‘spectacles’ in the luff eyes, a standard sail number, as well as camber lines placed across both sides of the sail.
