CRUISING HEADSAIL – CROSS CUT – SELF TACKING

Our Performance Cruise Self Tacking Headsails are manufactured in out PBXS High Tenacity Polyester sailcloth as a cross cut design. We bond and then seam each panel (including on graduated reinforcing patched) with 2 rows of 3 step zig-zag Sunstop threat that hosts advanced UV protection.

This specification includes a luff tape to suit your furler, webbing loops fitted at the head and tack as well as a stainless steel pressed ring at the clew, an adjustable leech line that exits near the clew, and telltales up the luff. In addition, this sail is fitted with camber lines across one side of the sail and a sacrificial UV protective strip along the leech and foot in white Odyssey fabric. Complete with a sail trim guide and high-quality Cordura drawstring sail bag to store your sail in during the off-season.

BUILT FOR CRUISING

Our Performance Cruise Premium Furling Headsails are manufactured in our PORTLAND PREMIUM High Tenacity Polyester sailcloth and offers a number of upgrades to your hardware and finishes including a multi hole clew board to allow for adjustable sheet angles. This specification has shaped reinforcing patches that extend along the leech and foot to assist with load bearing when reefed as well as, an adjustable leech line that exits near the clew through a metal cleat concealed within a secure pocket, a foot line, Velcro luff retention strap and sheet lead indicators. Camber lines are also placed across both sides of the sail, and your sacrificial UV strip can be in any standard Odyssey fabric.

HARDWARE UPGRADE

Back to back u/c protection at the clew (recommended if using a clew board), double taped luff for improved stretch resistance. Overhead leach line system on larger sails. Vertical leach battens for improved sail shape and slight increase in sail area

FABRIC UPGRADE

We offer fabric upgrades that include a range of superior warp-oriented branded polyester sailcloths, and laminate options for radial construction as well as hybrid wovens for cross cut construction such as Vectron. Other colours of UV protective fabric are available for a small charge. The UV strip material can be upgraded to Weathermax, which offers significantly longer life and better chafe resistance than standard polyester.
