RADIAL-CUT DCX RACING MAINSAIL
Our Radial Cut DCX laminate race optimised mainsails are manufactured in reinforced laminate sailcloth with Taffeta, as a tri radial and loose foot design. We bond and seam each panel, including graduated reinforcing patches, with 3 step zig-zag stitching in SunStop thread. Complete with a draw sting Cordura bag and sail trim guide written by our team of experts.
BUILT FOR RACING
This specification includes a headboard, stainless steel pressed rings at the tack, clew and at all reefing points as well as Teflon anti-chafe reinforcement at ‘high wear’ points around the sails edged (if specified). The specification also includes telltales on the leech, tapered battens, a full length top batten, an adjustable leech line that exits at all reefs and at the clew (through a metal cleat), a foot line, and luff Cunningham eye.
We design your sail with either low friction plastic sliders or a bolt rope along the luff (depending on your boats requirement), camber lines across both sides of the sail, one row of reefing points with reinforced reef pennant eyes, including a ‘reef spectacle’ in the luff reef eye (if specified) and a standard sail number.
FABRIC UPGRADES
Our Radial Cut DCX range can be upgraded to be manufacture in reinforced laminated sailcloth with GREY Taffeta. When designing this specification we would match the tapes, batten pocket and other detailing items to the colour of the base fabric when it is reasonably possible.
