LAMINATED CLOTHS
Woven styles of sail cloth are available in a range of different weights making the cloth suitable for a number of uses; from cruising around the harbour to club racing or ocean sailing. The finished weight, strength and Performance Durability of the material is primarily determined by the size of the fibres used in the cloth’s construction, the tightness of the weave and the finishing processes used.
PX LINE
Dimension-Polyant’s PX Line offers you with impressive dimensional stability suitable for regatta sailors. Using a black 6? polyester X-PLY thread system with a high strength polyester warp orientated mesh the cloth offers superior shape retention whilst expanding the application range of polyester laminates.
PXB
Suitable for regatta sailors the PXB line is a development of Dimension Polyant’s PX warp orientated fabrics. Taking a proven concept further this PXB line has a custom black fibre coating, increasing the cloths UV properties further. The cloth utilises Dimension Polyant X-PLY, addressing off angle loading providing your sail with the highest stability available for this type of fabric.
DCX
Available in three colours: White, Light Grey, Dark Grey
Dimension® Polyant’s DCX line has been developed with the aim of producing a high durability fabric. Designed for extensive cruising or regatta racing, this cloth is produced by embedding a mesh within two films with special taffeta on both sides. The mesh used offers an excellent warp stretch value as well as a high tear strength. The film covering the taffetas are robust, and additionally coated with Dimension Polyant’s unique UVM® Finish, adding two more desired features to your sail: protection against harmful UV radiation and reduction in mildew growth.
DXC CleenTEC®
DXC CleenTEC® is an extremely durable material made from up to 28-39% post consumer recycled material, offering you the chance for a high performance sail that is more environmentally conscious. The cloth is based on a polyester grid that is embedded within two films, and finished on both sides by a special taffeta fabric. The internal scrim is reinforced by an X-PLY® and has excellent stretch resistance as well as a high tear strength, allowing your sail to benefit from increased support in absorbing all forces that occur when sailing.
A CleenTEC® seal on the tack and a new discrete light grey colour way launched by Dimension Polyant will give any sail made from DCX CleenTEC® an unmistakable look.
FLEX® Ultra
A double layer taffeta laminate, FLEX® Ultra fabric boasts a blend of Polyester and Ultra-PE fibres finished with Dimension Polyants UVM finish, representing a modern five-layer laminate. Thus, we protect the carefully composed inner structure by letting a hydrophobic process do the work and eliminate internal water absorption.
This cloth is designed for cross cut construction, so offers superb value compared to tri radial alternatives where waste is significantly higher
DYS®
The DYS® Offshore Technology offers you a high performance sail with high tear resistance, minimal stretch, a high performance-weight ratio, and a easy to handle sail. With a strong internal Ultra-PE woven membrane base encapsulated in film, and laminated to a tightly woven ripstop taffeta; the Ultra-PE sandwich laminate cloth, combines easy handling and excellent durability with an outstanding strength and UV stability, perfect for offshore sailing.
CARBON SPORT
Carbon sport by Dimension Polyant is the result of careful assessment of club racers requirements together with technical development and innovation. Coming in 4 different styles, this sail cloth is supported by a carbon base inner structure, wich is accepted by our experts as well as other leading sail makers as an extremely well build and robust material that makes it great for any of our customers that race.
ARAMID SPORT
If you are a keen club racer and looking for the perfect combination between performance and longevity, Aramid Sport could be the perfect cloth choice for you. Based on Aramid load bearing fibres and manufactured with Dimension Polyants X-PLY® technology this laminate is only available with Dimension Polyant’s exclusive Lite Skin® to present your sail with the best possibly lifespan.

CUSTOM MEMBRANE
Custom Membrane panels have been developed by our cloth supplier combining the experience gained from years of sail cloth production with extensive data gathered from nearly every type of sail and cloth. Our sail design team work in conjunction with Bainbridge to utilise computer aeroelastic modelling to place the yarns in exactly the right places for predicted loads in a number of conditions. A Custom Laminate system allows our team to create stronger, lighter, faster and longer lasting performance sails. The DIAX custom membrane system offers several advantageous developments over other custom membranes:
– Custom lamination: fibre choice, mix and distribution are perfected for your sail and boat type. – Strong Lamination : This system uses stronger, higher quality resins, giving your sails a longer lamination life than conventional sail cloths. – Efficient Use of Materials : DIAX yarns are laid in custom arrays with all the yarns being laid exactly where they are needed.
