OWAIN PETERS || TECHNICAL MANAGER

Apparently part of a program of genetically engineered sailors, rumours that Owain was first discovered in a sail bag are as yet unproven.
Decades of yacht racing in various parts of the world have taught him that more crew means more people to apportion blame to, and recruiting people who do not recognise this is a key strategy on his own boat. The success of this approach could be measured by how impervious to criticism he is.
Theoretically graduate-level educated, closer scrutiny often reveals he “didn’t specialise in that area of biology”. Subsequent self-employment as an International Yachtsman (he took a ferry to the Isle of Wight once) has informed a remarkable repertoire of Anglo Saxon instead.
Kemp Sails recognised the benefits of working with someone both uniquely and impressively talented, and Owain can now “talk sailing” endlessly to the unwary. A successful conversational exit strategy, if required, should highlight his competitors’ accomplishments.
Regular employment facilitated a boat upgrade and a leave of absence in 2017 to cruise round the UK. To the disappointment of his colleagues and the relief of his wife he returned to Kemp Sails that autumn, and has not shut up about it since.
Against expectations not only did Owain marry, but he has started a family. Whilst their nurturing of a lovable rescue dog is to be celebrated, this may not transfer to parenting success, and widely shared sympathy for the exasperated Mrs Peters – plus anticipation for what level of therapy the next generation may require – is heartfelt.
He continues to avoid addressing his sailing addiction by returning to sea as often as possible. A recent focus on the indoctrination of his children into the sport currently exhibits mixed results.
